Over the last several months I have been experimenting with different sheep’s fleeces.  I have washed, carded, dyed and hand spun Lincoln long wool a rare breed, Romney long wool in both white and brown and several texel fleeces. All were fun to work with and I ended up with some really nice color results from dying the wool with different kinds of dyes. I especially like spinning bulkier yarns that have a bit of texture. These yarns would be great to knit up into unique hats and mitts. I have a basket full of beautiful colored yarn to sell now and they are available to purchase at Have A Yarn in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia.
